Homes for the Cure
Centerline Homes and Susan G. Komen for the Cure® Central Florida will showcase three very special homes at Eagle Creek. The Concept Home series, sponsored by Builder Magazine, features homes designed for the specific lifestyles of three generations – Baby Boomers, Gen X and Gen Y. 

After a private showing to the delegates at the International Builders Show, the 3 homes will be unveiled to the public.  The homes will be open starting February 18, 2012 through February 26, 2012 from 10am to 6pm.  Admission to view the homes is $5 per person with 100% of the proceeds going to the Central Florida Affiliate of Susan G. UKNIGHT in PINK

On February 18th and 19th, the UCF Men's and Women's Basketball teans will UKNIGHT in PINK for breast cancer awareness.  We will honor Survivors and Co-Survivors throughout the games. 

The men will take on East Carolina @ 7pm on Saturday, February 18th.  Specially priced $10 tickets are available through UCF with a $2 give back to Komen Central Florida.  Wear PINK and show your support!

The women take on Memphis @ 2pm on Sunday, February 19th.  Wear PINK and get in FREE to the game!  

Help us reach our Goal!

Komen Central Florida is asking for your help to reach our community needs by March 31st. We’ve gotten nearly $1.4 million dollars of grant requests for breast health programs within our nine counties. We need these programs more than ever. Due to the economy, we have found that screening rates have decreased significantly in our service area with our state average resting at the low number of only 61.9%. Some of our counties sadly fell below 50%. These numbers need to be much higher.  Work with us to move closer to 100% - where it should be! The average mammogram in Central Florida costs $125.00. Make a donation today to help women get the screening they are entitled to.

2012 Race News

 Thank you again to everyone who participated in the 2011 Central Florida Race for the Cure.  We hope to see you in October 2012 at UCF’s Bright House Networks Stadium once again.  The exact date will be announced in May. 
Race planning is underway and the Race Committee is currently being formed.  If you would like to be part of the dedicated group of volunteers who put together our biggest fundraising event, then please join us at our Race Committee Kick Office Meeting.  Mark your calendars now!
