After serving as a Race for the Cure Team Captain at her place of employment for several years, Donna joined the Central Florida Affiliate in April 2011.  She is one of the warriors Komen celebrates as she has been a Breast Cancer Survivor since 2002.  Donna feels that Susan G. Komen for the Cure has given so much to those currently suffering, as well as to other Survivors, that she wants to do all she can to help fellow Survivors through the process she knows all too well. She wants to see an end to breast cancer.  Besides volunteering her time, Donna enjoys traveling, dancing, hiking, kayaking and basically any activity where she can enjoy the great outdoors.
